Okay, I know that Anna Nicole's life and lifestyle made her an object of much ridicule and disrespect. I admit that I chuckled a time or two at her antics. A lot of the time the joke was on her and we all enjoyed that because it made us feel better about ourselves. But, seriously, are we animals waiting to feed on another's misfortune and grief? Are we so lacking in our hearts that we cannot step back and see this for the sad misfortune it is?
From the reports, it seems that whatever it is that ended her life, it was precipitated by great grief. She may have literally died of a broken heart. The pain of her son's death overtook her. And now, greedy, grubby hands will forever spend their time trying to use that baby girl as a pawn. Her life will never be her own. That child has been born into grief. I see a sad, sad situation all around. Not one to point fingers at and enjoy watching.
Have we managed to sink even lower than the people whose lives we find so entertaining?
Enough already.
